The Kane County Sheriff has adopted a revolutionary new policing program aimed at getting addicts the help they need, instead of putting them in handcuffs.
A Way Out Kane County offers substance abuse assessment 24/7 to anyone in Kane County that wishes to seek recovery. Appropriate inpatient or outpatient referral and placement are determined by assessment and based on availability. If you are unable to pay for treatment due to lack of insurance or financial resources, you will not be turned away from participation in the program. A Way Out Kane County works with providers that are able to accept a number of different insurance plans and accommodate those without insurance.
Our goal is to help individuals reach treatment and collaborate with private, public health and community-based agencies to get citizens into the addiction recovery programs. Too few people using opioids can get treatment to help them conquer dependence. The problem is getting the treatment to those who need and want it. Our goal is to keep people with substance abuse problems out of the criminal justice system into treatment.
We want to use this platform to let the citizens of Kane County know what is available and encourage them to use it.
For people who have an addiction and their friends, families, and caregivers
